Segment host Kamie Stroot asked Jenna: “Why does your company give back to the community?”
Jenna answered: “Foundation 4Life’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty. Among the key ways we do that? Through education. Education is so important. We also help to meet the basic needs of students. How do we expect them to go to school if they don’t have meals? Or a safe place to sleep, to live?”
As children prepare to return to school, many will do so without basic needs. Utah’s Granite School District is one of the largest in the country, with more than 64,000 students in 87 schools. Of these students, 48% are economically disadvantaged, and that qualifies them for free or reduced lunch. Food scarcity is tied to numerous difficulties that negatively affect memory, attention, and general well-being.
As director of Foundation 4Life, Jenna continues the work started by her late mother and 4Life Founder Bianca Lisonbee. After launching 4Life with husband David Lisonbee in 1998, Bianca launched Foundation 4Life in 2006. Bianca’s lifetime of philanthropy included nourishment programs, literacy campaigns, home building, orphanage funding, community center development, toy drives, and grassroots collaborations with communities on every continent, excluding Antarctica.
In late 2022, Direct Selling News recognized Bianca as among the most influential female founders in the industry. In 2024, the Globee® Awards named her Business Philanthropist of the Year—a posthumous honor dedicated one year after her passing.
