The Foundation 4Life team assembled 962 weekend meal kits with ramen, ravioli, applesauce, and granola bars. Over the course of the day, numerous community teams accounted for more than 8,000 meal kits and 10,000 snack kits.
Granite Education Foundation Event and Communications Officer Andrea Stringham: “We deliver 4,000-6,0000 weekend kits every three weeks. About 42% of our kids qualify for some kind of support. This gives an idea of our community’s need.”
With 56,000 students among more than eighty schools, Utah’s Granite School District is the fourth largest district in the country. A 2024–2025 impact summary details that the annual 9/11 Day of Service accounts for more than 1,400 volunteer hours from more than 1,100 volunteers.
4Life has participated in 9/11 service activities ever since 2001 when 4Life Founder David Lisonbee traveled to NYC with his daughter Jenna, now Director of Foundation 4Life, to support first responders after the collapse of the Twin Towers.
Granite Education Foundation volunteer board member Randy Woodbury: “What are the barriers that keep kids from coming to school? One of them is hunger. Then there’s transportation. Or appropriate clothing. Our goal is to get kids into an educational setting with a mindset to learn. It’s really gratifying to see so many folks who are willing to help.”
Among 4Life employees in attendance were Global Operations Market Coordinator Jennifer Zuelli and Manager of Customer Services Operations Nancy Juarez.
Jenna Lisonbee: “This was a great day for 4Life employees to gather with other service-oriented people in order to bring hope to children and families from one side of the Salt Lake Valley to the other.”
