4Life CEO in Washington, DC

Salt Lake City (September 19, 2025) 4Life CEO and past Direct Selling Association Chairman Danny Lee was in Washington, D.C. earlier this week to defend industry rights for US-based 4Life Affiliates and all independent contractors around the country.

During his time in DC, executive meetings took Lee to the White House and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) where he met with FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson. Additionally, Lee had meetings with members of Congress in the House of Representatives and numerous state senators.

In a broadcast from the White House, Lee stated: “We are working with the administration to protect direct selling here in the United States. I am here with colleagues of the DSA’s executive committee to defend the opportunity and livelihoods of millions of independent contractors.”

While Lee was on Capitol Hill with 85 other direct sellers from 14 companies, H.R. 3495 (Direct Seller and Real Estate Harmonization Act) advanced from committee. The House bill includes language that clearly distinguishes independent contractors from employees.

DSA CEO Dave Grimaldi: “The committee’s action on H.R. 3495 is the most significant federal step for direct sellers since 1982. We thank Chairman Tim Walberg and Members of the Committee for moving this bill forward.”
